Tempest  Awarded Best of Class and  a Double Gold Medal  in the Indy International Wine Competition

This blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc displays the dark, rich, bramble fruit with overtones of cigar box  and spice. Aging in new oak for 18 months  adds to the complexity and softens this well structured wine

Merlot        Awarded Silver Medal, American Wine Society and  Indy International Wine Competition

The joy of the table, this firm complex Merlot is filled with chocolate, plum, and currant. Aged in 100% French oak, this Merlot drinks well young and will age beautifully.

Chardonnay

Jean Farris Chardonnay exemplifies the lush, ripe flavors of apple and pear with hints of mineral from the Central Kentucky wine growing region. Malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak on the lees creates a creamy and toasty wine. Jean Farris Chardonnay offers fine structure and rich, spicy aromas that compliment the supple fruits.

Petite Syrah

The intense color gives way to the expressive nose of blueberry.  Dense layers of plum and bramble fruit are complemented by the warm spice of Allier French Oak.  The finish has hints of vanilla and black tea.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Awarded Silver Medal, American Wine Society

Our 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with current and blackberry leading to a well balanced mouth feel which finishes with a smooth, velvety touch of pepper.

Viognier, 2006

Our Viognier is filled with the sweet perfume of rose petals with subtle spicy tones.  Luscious lemon peel, orange pekoe and peach flavors bathe the palate, balanced by a crisp, refreshing finish.

Tuska

Awarded Silver Medal, International Wine Competition, Indianapolis

Our Super Tuscan-style blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet displays complex flavors of plum blackberry and spice with a hint of Sandlewood on the finish.

Marito  Dry Red

Marito: (Latin) meaning marriage or union.

An impressive blend of barrel aged wines create the perfect balance and harmony whether your enjoying with an evening meal or celebrating or a special event. Black cherry fruit and soft layers of oak are well balanced with its well structured tannins.

Marito  Dry White
Marito
: (Latin) meaning marriage or union.

Jean Farris has joined the bright fruit of Vidal Blanc, the full body and structure of Viognier to create this spirited wine. Well balanced and approachable.

Pinot Gris

Awarded Silver Medal, International Wine Competition, Indianapolis

Our Pinot Gris exudes a sweet floral and pineapple fruit.  Layers of citrus and white berry fill the palate with a crisp, dry finish.

Rose

Truly misunderstood, the Rose has been rediscovered at Jean Farris.  A brilliant wine, full of zeal and life. Soft tannins and a delightful balance.  Soft strawberry and cherry fruit abound with subtle complexity one does not expect in a “pink” wine.  It’s not a Blush, it’s Rose.

Dolce sweet White , Blush, & Red wine
